Missouri City, Texas – An Overview

Missouri City is a city located in the U.S. state of Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. The city is twenty miles southwest of downtown Houston in northeast Fort Bend and southwest Harris counties. It is an active and diverse community boasting excellent schools, friendly neighbors and fantastic business opportunities.

 

Missouri City has 33 parks in total that include Buffalo Run Park and Mosley Park as well. American Legion Park is famous for black bass fishing. The Community Park is the best site for KIDFISH event. Independence Park has a boat ramp for boat access. Fantastic Park for fishing!

Black Lake, Frost Lake, Hermann Hospital Lake, Kitty Hollow Lake are the lakes and reservoirs in the city. Some of them make great places for visitors to have a fun fishing time. Anglers would probably not realize Missouri City’s potential until they engage themselves in the activity and experience it for themselves.

The city conducts annual events such as Oktoberfest, Snowfest and an Easter egg hunt. Participate in these events with your family and friends and look forward to loads of fun.

Fort Bend Community Hospital and the Kelsey-Seybold Medical Clinic serve Missouri City. The Fort Bend County portion of the city is served by Fort Bend Independent School District, while the Harris County portion is served by Houston Independent School District.
