Kountze, Texas – An Overview
Kountze city in the U.S state of Texas is the County seat of Hardin County, where it is located. It became the county seat due to its proximity to the geographic center of the county. The city is located 23 miles North West of Beaumont, Texas and 75 Miles North East of Houston, Texas. It is a part of the Beaumont-Port Arthur Metropolitan Area.
Kountze is served by the Kountze Independent School District. This comprises Kountze High that serves grades 9-12. The Kountze Middle enrols students of grades 6-8 and the Kountze Elementary is for grades PK-5.The school district flaunts many winning titles.
Kountze city describes itself as: "The Big Light in The Big Thicket” and rightly so. The Big Thicket National preserve mesmerizes one ‘n’ all with its range of amenities. They are displayed along with original furniture, an 1850 piano and Lucy Kirby-Hill's 1884 organ.
