Coldspring City is the County seat of San Jacinto County in the U.S State of Texas. The city exemplifies rich history and character.

Coldspring is served by the Coldspring-Oakhurst Consolidated Independent School District. This is a public school district also serving the cities of Oakhurst and Point Blank. This school district comprises Coldspring-Oakhurst High serving grades 9-12, Lincoln Junior High for grades 6-8, Coldsping-Oakhurst Intermediate for students of grades 3-5, and Street Elementary serving grades PK-2.

Coldspring offers the best of tourist attractions. The few popular ones include the Historic Heritage Center, Old Town Coldspring, the 1887 Jail Museum and the United Methodist Church. The city boasts public libraries, country club, tennis activities, antique/art shops, marinas and an airstrip. The Lone Star Hiking Trail is situated between Coldspring and Cleveland.
