Palacios, Texas is located right in the heart of the Texas Gulf Coast overlooking the beautiful Tres Palacios Bay. Palacios (Spanish for palace) is 110-miles southwest of Galveston and 110-miles northeast of Corpus Christi. With a population of approximately 5,000, Palacios is the second largest city in Matagorda County and is the Shrimp Capital of Texas.
